The Harp Family-2022
Sierra was an invaluable help to us during the arrival of our twins. From cooking delicious meals to sorting through mounds of laundry, she always made sure I was getting the support I needed during the early postpartum days. There was such a great peace of mind knowing we could trust her to take care of our toddler and newborns while Mama got some much needed rest. Sierra's calm demeanor helped fill our home with a sense of order and peace amidst the chaos of caring for young children. When breastfeeding struggles arose, Sierra was so supportive of our decisions and was able to provide additional information to help us succeed in our goals. We couldn't recommend Sierra enough to anybody looking for postpartum support.

Where to begin? I have so many good things to say! I booked Sierra for postpartum night support with my second child. My first child had problems nursing and was hard to soothe, so I wanted support right off the bat with my second in case of any issues. Sure enough, my second child couldn't nurse well, and so right away I was pumping at all hours. Thank Heaven for Sierra, who supported me at every turn. She seemed to read my mind! From soothing the baby, to washing bottles and pump parts, waking me when it was time to pump, helping me in a crisis when my new pump wasn't drawing milk, making me breakfast, giving me a foot massage... I mean the list just goes on! To top it off my husband was able to sleep solid for the first week instead of being up all night helping me, so he was freshly rested during the daytime to help our new family. By the end of my time with Sierra I had a pretty good handle on the new nighttime pumping routine and I don't know how I would have persevered if it wasn't for her gentle comforting support. The only thing I wish were different is that we could hire her permanently! If we get pregnant again, she will be my second call right after my midwife!

Sierra was just the best! She was our overnight postpartum doula, and she is the only reason I am still sane. I am a first time mom to twin boys and to say I was anxious and tired is an understatement! By having Sierra around I knew my boys were very well cared for, but she also assisted me through my breastfeeding journey and helped with everything around the house. I honestly don't know how she manages it all! I highly recommend Live and Let Doula (Sierra). We love Ms. Sierra in this household!

AMAZING Experience!!
Whatever I say to describe my doula experience with Sierra will not do justice to the love she has showered on myself and my family during our time together. I was a nervous mom with no help (immediate family/friends) when pregnant with my son. I found out about doula services while looking on FB for newborn and food support post-delivery. I interviewed many qualified professionals for weeks but somehow had a connection with Sierra so my husband and I unanimously decided to go with her. And oh my,,, the best decision we made against all our apprehension and fears of having another person outside the family enter our lil world!!

Needless to say, Sierra’s boundless love, care and comfort went far and beyond the typical service that I was expecting. She genuinely cared for my health and wellbeing. She took care of the newborn, went beyond her way to answer any single questions/doubts I had, and was by my side for all issues regarding breastfeeding (and oh yes, there were many!). She gave me hope, answers, and necessary resources to go though the most challenging phase of postpartum. Each day I looked forward to her arrival as her warm smile would give me courage to get through the day that involved a crying baby, dirty laundry, tired mind/body, kitchen stacked with dirty dishes, an enthusiastic toddler and the list goes on and on... Most importantly, we were assured that all my kids (newborn, the 3 yr old and my goldendoodle) were in safe hands and were fed the days when I was too tired to cook or clean.
I can go on and on about how Sierra helped during my postpartum healing journey, whether it's her delicious homecooked mealsletting me nap or have “me time”, or managing a fussy baby etc. I highly recommend her services as she is not your typical doula; she wishes well for you and it shows in her care.

My postpartum experience was so much smoother with the help of Sierra! She came to help us several times a week with cooking, emotional support, watching baby Eliza and anything else we needed at the time. She is such a kind human being and I really can't say enough good things about her.
The meals she made us were delicious! I always felt at ease letting her watch my sweet baby girl. When I was worn out and worried about something, she would provide the support I needed and when she didn't know the answer to a question I had about baby care, she would research it and send me what she found. During such a precious, busy time, I found myself being well cared for and I know that she helped me be the best mom at that time.
I dearly miss her now that we aren't using her services anymore, but look forward to her warm conversations and delicious meals the next time we have a new little.

Sierra, oh my goodness! This sweet young lady is truly an attentive, gentle, aware and confident person who loves greatly. She has been a sitter in our home for our four kiddos and has even stayed for an entire weekend so we could attend an out of town wedding. My children love her and she is a gift to anyone she meets. She has such a unique ability to genuinely connect with those she serves. We are so thankful for her!

Sierra was my postpartum doula for both of my babies and both experiences were absolutely amazing. I don’t think people realize how much of a need there is in this industry for newly postpartum mommas! She creates healthy meals, does light chores around the house so momma can rest and bond with baby, she provides valuable insight and advice to helping create a healthy latch for mom and baby, and creates a calm space in the home in order for mom to have the time she needs to heal and restore. I was so blessed to receive the care that I did with Sierra, and I would recommend her to all expectant mommas!

The Greek word ‘doula’ means ‘a woman who serves’ or ‘mothering the mother.’ By nature, Sierra embodies the essence of a doula. As a doula myself, and mother of seven, I can confidently say that Sierra is one of the most sincere and compassionate young women I know. Rarely have I met a kindred spirit who flows so effortlessly in the role of nurturer, protector, and selfless giver. She carries within her the wisdom of our mothers of old. She is deeply intuitive. Deeply instinctive. She is a healer. She carries everything a woman needs to be and know. She carries the medicine for all things, whether in the kitchen baking bread or holding little ones close to her. She tends to the needs of others with generosity and the utmost of care. She is one of only two women who I have ever entrusted my own children to. I have absolute confidence in her abilities to care for mother and child and the family as a whole. In a culture where few women are strong enough to live out their femininity with such strength, Sierra stands out above the rest. She is a prayermaker, a seeker, a finder, and an example to even the most seasoned of women. She can teach us all. Sierra will be a name that women will call upon. It takes a sacred woman to hold the space for new life. Sierra carries that ability beautifully!

I'm Sara, and I'm a proud momma of three beautiful children. Two boys and our little princess. If you are here to know about Sierra and considering her for her services, I'm going to just tell you straightforward to just go with her. Call her and schedule a meeting with her. You will not regret it. We've known her for a few years now and regarding her "doula" services, she has been our angel helping us with our last two births. For my second born, she was always of support during our pregnancy. Sierra carries peace with her and all that she does emanates peace, so it's always such a blessing to have her around. She's a great listener but also can talk wisely and has the soul of a wise woman. I will never forget the back massage she gave me while in labor with my second born. My water actually broke during one of my contractions as she was massaging my back! She assisted with all I asked her for and did it with respect and great care. She loves serving others. She also helped us postpartum with my son, and as I said before, she was an angel helping us getting used to a family of four. Then, when I was pregnant with our third born, Sierra was always checking up on me and would even sent me preggo care packages with tea and various things pertaining to my pregnancy. She flew out to be with us for the birth and it was such a blessing. She assisted us prior delivery as I have a tendency for prodromal labor and helped in every way she could. She helped with chores around the house as she also accompanied me to the Midwives visits. Did I mention she gives great back massages? For me, the massages would help relax my body and help tremendously for preparing my body for labor. When we were in the birthing center she came in prepared with notes and placed them around the room so that I would have my mind focused. She helped in the laboring process but also gave space for my husband, mom and mother in law whom were also present. She took so many beautiful pictures and videos of it all. Bottom line, she really is the best. If you want an angel helping you throughout this journey please get in touch with her. Don't wait!
